Direct Support Professional

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• A High School diploma/G.E.D. is preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Qualifications

• No experience required – we provide paid training.
• Base hourly rate is $16.00/hour with a $2-$3 shift differential.

Skills

• Create long-term impacts on consumers’ lives.
• Encourage, mentor, and coach others to achieve their goals.
• Work in various settings to make memories with individuals.
• Follow Individual Support Plans to engage in activities like the park and sensory gardens.
• Assist with daily hygiene and personal care.
• Teach individuals to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.
