Direct Support Professional

About the role

We are seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our team at our program in Moon Twp, PA. This is an immediate opening for individuals who are caregivers, direct care workers, home health aides, or aspire to become one.

Responsibilities

• Create long-term impacts on the lives of the individuals you support.
• Encourage, mentor, and coach others to achieve their goals.
• Work in various settings to make memories with the individuals you support.
• Follow the Individuals Support Plan to engage in activities like visiting parks and sensory gardens, and working on social and communication skills.
• Teach daily living activities such as personal care, housekeeping, and laundry.
• Assist with daily and personal activities to enhance the independence of the individuals you support.

Requirements

• A current valid driver's license.
• Related experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• A strong desire to positively impact the lives of the individuals you support.
• An ability to foster independence and create meaningful relationships.
• The ability to follow Individual Support Plans effectively.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to different situations and individuals.
• Good communication skills.

Pay

Earn a minimum of $18.00/hour with the option for enhanced pay.

Schedule

Hours vary based on the needs of the individuals you support, but typically range from 8 hours per day to 40 hours per week.
