Direct Support Professional

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• A High School diploma/G.E.D. is preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Qualifications

• Strong desire to create long-term impacts on their consumer’s lives.
• Enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals.
• Spend your day in a variety of settings making memories with our individuals.
• Follow the Individual Support Plan, enjoy your days at the park and sensory gardens, while working on social and communication skills.
• Enhance independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care.
• Teach individuals to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow and implement Individual Support Plans.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to assist with daily living activities.

Pay

Base hourly rate $16.00/hour with $2-$3/hour shift differential and the Enhanced Pay option of $2/hour.

Schedule

Tuesday-Saturday 10:30pm-7:00am
