Responsibilities
A typical day for a Direct Support Professional includes assisting your clients with their community goals as written in their plan of care. Community Living Supports are used to increase or maintain personal self-sufficiency, facilitate an individual's achievement of their goals of community inclusion and participation, independence, or productivity. Supports are provided in the participant's residence or in community settings, including but not limited to libraries, city pools, camps, and others.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/GSD
- Valid Driver's License
- Auto insurance and reliable transportation
- Dedication to professional development, including organizational and state-required training
- Must comply with state background screening requirements
Pay
Starting payrate is $17 per hour with weekly pay.
