Direct Support Professional - Arnold Full-Time Overnight Shift

This position assists residents/individuals by encouraging independence while providing supports to help them be successful in their home and community. Responsibilities include working with residents to achieve their goals, supporting meal preparation, maintaining a comfortable home, engaging in the community, and staying connected to family and friends.

Responsibilities

• Encourage independence for individuals with disabilities
• Assist residents in achieving personal goals
• Support meal preparation and household maintenance
• Engage residents in community activities
• Help residents stay connected with family and friends
• Act quickly and calmly in emergency situations (accidents, seizures, fire, etc.)
• Perform light computer tasks, including data entry and word processing

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• At least 21 years old
• Reliable transportation
• Good interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to follow oral and written directions and problem solve
• Demonstrate patience, sensitivity, and a positive attitude toward individuals with severe to profound developmental disabilities
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Pay

Starting pay of $18.00 per hour with shift differentials:

• Evening Shift Differential: $2.00
• Midnight Shift Differential: $2.50
• Weekend Shift Differential: $2.00

Schedule

4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts:

• 9:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., Thursday through Sunday
