About the role
Direct Support Professional staff function as members of teams that are responsible for the direct care and instruction of individuals living in community residential homes in accordance with state, federal and Agency guidelines. Direct Support Professional staff will contribute to the creation of a safe, healthy emotional and physical environment for individuals.
Responsibilities
- Assist and/or instruct individuals in activities of daily living, self-care, personal hygiene, medication administration and safety skills in their home.
- Assist individuals in attending and participating in community activities.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current valid driver’s license.
- Willing to undergo background checks, in accordance with local laws/regulations.
