Direct Support Professional - 3rd Shift

About the role

Macon Resources serves over 800 children and adults with disabilities in the Decatur community. Direct Support Professionals help individuals gain freedom and independence by assisting them with everyday tasks, ranging from waking up and preparing breakfast to shooting hoops outside.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with waking up and preparing breakfast
• Support individuals in recreational activities such as shooting hoops outside
• Help with everyday tasks to promote freedom and independence

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of Direct Support Person training in accordance with state regulations and maintain status on the Habilitation Aid Registry (training provided)
• Effective oral and written communication
• Access to a phone or ability to be contacted outside of work

Pay

• Shift differential: extra $2/hour for 2nd and 3rd shifts
• Weekend differential: extra $3/hour for 2nd and 3rd shifts, applicable from 6 am Saturday to 6 am Monday
