About the role

Bridgewell strengthens communities by providing social and human services to people with disabilities and other life challenges. Services include community housing, day programs, outpatient treatment, recovery services, education, and employment training. Responsibilities

  • Provide support and assistance with daily living activities.
  • Create opportunities for people to make decisions and foster independence.
  • Support people in accordance with regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies.
  • Manage medical, clinical, and financial needs.
  • Transport people to and from medical and recreational activities.
  • Maintain daily progress notes and documentation.
  • Complete household cleaning duties.
  • Conduct steady care calls.
  • Afford access to community resources and recreational opportunities.
  • Administer medications as per MAP regulations.
  • Maintain necessary certifications.
  • Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and stakeholders.
  • Act as the program's Fire Safety Officer or Safety Coordinator.
  • Comply with Bridgewell Safety Checks Policy.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and supervision meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 5+ years of verified experience in the same position, or 1 year of experience with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft products and web-based applications.
  • Ability to drive a large and/or wheelchair van and hold a valid US driver's license.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Microsoft products (Email, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to drive a 12-passenger van.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of employees working in residential programs include:

  • Climbing stairs.
  • Physically assisting people served, often weighing more than 200 pounds.
  • Moving people and providing support for bathroom routines, entry and exit of wheelchairs, and physical, behavioral, and medical interventions.
  • Lifting and moving people as part of daily living activities.

Pay Range

The hourly rate range for this position is $21.23 - $21.83.
