Direct Support Professional (2nd Shift Full Time)

Location: Monroeville, NJ • Onsite • Adult Residential • 2nd shift (Sunday 11a-11p, Monday & Tuesday 2p-11p = 30 hours/week full-time)

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) within our Lakeside Program in Monroeville, NJ, you’ll empower autistic, intellectually, and developmentally challenged individuals while supporting the Bancroft mission, vision, and core values. Responsibilities

• Carry out behavioral treatment plans and collect direct observational data.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, social awareness, meal preparation, money management, and housekeeping.
• Provide personal care and supervision, actively participating in each individual’s growth.
• Teach daily living and functional skills to help individuals achieve personal goals and transition to less restrictive residential settings.
• Accompany individuals to healthcare appointments and community outings, providing safe transportation.
• Resolve problem behavior situations and provide intervention while adhering to Bancroft’s safety standards and approved crisis techniques.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation.
• Maintain effective communication with residents, parents, guardians, and family members.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License in the candidate’s legal name and current address with a minimum of one year driving experience. License must be in good standing and free of restrictions.
• Minimum of six months related work experience OR Bachelor’s degree (or current enrollment) in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Strong desire to work with autistic, intellectually, and developmentally disabled individuals.

Skills

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual, or developmental disabilities (preferred).

Pay

$19.61–$20.00 per hour, plus additional incentives.
