What You’ll Be Doing
- Avoids activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Helps with meal preparation, household chores, and creates a safe, comfortable home environment.
- Administers medications as directed.
- Safeguards individuals during walking, transfers, and the use of mobility aids.
- Supports individuals in attending medical appointments and following treatment plans.
- Implements strategies to support behaviors in a respectful manner.
- Encourages and reassures individuals to build confidence and independence.
- Plans and participates in recreational, educational, and social activities.
- Fosters involvement in community programs and events to enhance belonging.
- Assists with communication tools or techniques to help individuals express themselves.
- Advocates for their needs, rights, and access to services.
- Collaborates with healthcare providers, therapists, and other team members for holistic care.
- Maintains accurate and timely records including daily notes, progress reports, incident reports, and other required documentation in electronic systems.
