Direct Life Sales Representative - LIC

About the role
This position obtains appropriate insurance licenses and learns to sell, quote, and bind coverage for prospects. You will complete extensive training and development programs to gain product knowledge, sales, and customer service skills needed to effectively review existing coverage and advise prospects and customers regarding policy and coverage options.
Responsibilities
- Sells life insurance products to new or existing customers via various customer contact channels.
- Estimates and quotes policy premiums complying with underwriting guidelines.
- Serves as additional sales support to existing channels to assist clients with recommending specific insurance solutions.
- Answers inbound conservation calls and makes proactive outbound calls to help conserve life policies.
- Works with policyholders and independent sales agents to identify and act on opportunities to conserve business.
- Reviews existing coverage and advises customers regarding policy options.
- Identifies gaps in coverage and advises the customer of their risks; recommends additional coverage as needed and suggests options.
- Makes appropriate recommendations on policy coverage and options, closes sales, and works with life operations to process applications or changes to policies.
Requirements
- Attention to detail to provide accurate quotes to clients.
- Ability to multi-task on multiple computer systems/screens during a quote.
- Ability to clearly explain insurance concepts and coverages to clients.
- Must have resident Life Insurance License at time of hire.
- Non-resident Life license within 90 days of hire.
- Travel: Up to 10%.
Pay
Compensation range: $25.00 - $31.88 per hour.

Schedule
New employees participate in a New Employee Orientation during their first week, held in person at Madison, WI Headquarters or one of our core locations. Some sessions may be delivered virtually based on scheduling and availability.
