About the role
ExpertCare is looking for reliable, compassionate, and helpful Direct Care Workers to provide one-on-one support to our Recipients in their homes. You will assist with skill-building activities, encourage personal growth, and accompany Recipients into the community to help them achieve their goals. Positions are available on both a full-time and part-time basis, serving individuals in Southeast Michigan’s mental health community.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to Recipients in their homes
- Assist with skill-building activities
- Encourage and support personal goal development
- Accompany Recipients into the community to strengthen their independence
Requirements
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans
- Comfortable supporting individuals with varying abilities
- Reliable transportation to and from assignments
- Must pass required background checks and screenings
- Must be 18 years or older
