Direct Care Worker

About the role

The Direct Care Worker will provide a safe, secure, and healthy environment for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Address basic health needs of the individuals.
• Transport individuals to outings in the community.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid certification (willing to train new staff).
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License (required).
• One year of caregiving experience (preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities and supportive care practices.

Pay

• $17.13 per hour.

Schedule

• 12 hour shift.
• 8 hour shift.
• Evening shift.
• Holiday shifts.
• Afternoon shift.
• Overnight shift.
• Rotating weekends.
