Direct Care Worker

Location: York, PA 17403

Schedule

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 9 am – 4 pm
• Tuesday 8 am – 3 pm
• Saturday 9 am – 1 pm

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance and care to clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with homemaking tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
• Ensure clients' safety and well‑being by monitoring their condition and reporting any changes.
• Follow care plans and service plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate client records.

Requirements

• Female
• Having a car is required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a caregiving or direct‑care role is preferred
• Ability to carry out directions, read and write
• Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Sympathetic attitude towards the care of the sick and elderly
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must pass a background screening and obtain required clearances
• CNA preferred but not required
