Direct Care Worker

About the role

BAYADA is seeking a Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care, household support, and companion care services to help adults stay safe and independent at home. This role involves following a written plan of care by a registered nurse and developing close relationships with clients while supporting their daily living needs.

Responsibilities

• Activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
• Household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, etc.
• Meal preparation and feeding
• Range of motion/exercises
• Assisting with ambulation (transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices)
• Medication reminders

Qualifications

• Previous home health care or patient care welcomed, but not required — we will train you
• A passion for caregiving and a desire to help others
• A commitment to being present and providing quality care
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect
• Ability to travel to clients' homes as assigned
• Commitment to deliver patient care with compassion, excellence, and reliability

Schedule

• Muncy Female client: Monday through Friday 10a-6p — driver preferred, must cover all hours
• Muncy Female client: Mon–Thurs 1pm-5pm and Friday 12pm-5pm — dementia experience a plus
• Muncy Female client: 17 hours dayshift
