Direct Care Worker

About the role

All American Home Care is actively seeking an experienced Direct Care Worker (DCW) for a weekend‑only case in the Portersville, PA area. The position provides consumer care services that include personal care, light housekeeping, companion services, assistance with activities of daily living, maintaining a clean and safe environment, meal preparation, laundry, sitter duties, and related assignments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform or assist the consumer with activities of daily living as prescribed in the plan of care, including hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Treat each person as an individual with respect and dignity.
• Respect the rights of all consumers, including confidentiality and autonomy.
• Maintain the home in an optimum state of cleanliness and safety, including light housekeeping such as vacuuming, laundry, dusting, washing floors, making beds, and doing dishes.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience.
• Home Health Aide training, Adult Residential License, Direct Care worker certification (preferred).
• Clear background check.
• Valid ID/driver’s license.
• Social Security number.
• PPDs, TB test, or chest X‑ray.
