About the role
ExpertCare is looking for reliable, compassionate, and helpful Direct Care Workers to provide one-on-one support to our Recipients in their homes. You will assist with skill-building activities, encourage personal growth, and accompany Recipients in the community to help them achieve their goals. Positions are available in Southeast Michigan serving individuals in the mental health community.
Full and part-time positions are available.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to Recipients in their homes and community settings
- Assist with skill-building activities
- Encourage and support personal goal development and achievement
- Follow individualized care plans
Requirements
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans
- Comfortable supporting individuals with varying abilities
- Reliable transportation to and from assignments
- Must pass required background checks and screenings
- Must be 18 years or older
