Direct Care Support Staff

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, caring, energetic, and creative individual who enjoys helping individuals with disabilities achieve their greatest potential as a Direct Care Support staff member.

Responsibilities

• Help clients become as self-sufficient as they are physically and mentally able, including:
  • Assisting with meal preparation
  • Supporting hygiene needs (toileting, showering, changing briefs when needed)
• Help clients make the best choices for themselves, such as choosing healthy menus, while promoting their right to make choices
• Take clients out into the community and attend events with them
• Prepare crafts and other appropriate activities for clients
• Ensure the living area, including all contents and surrounding areas, is safe and sanitary by performing basic housekeeping and laundry duties

Pay

Starting rate: $16.00 per hour

This is a part-time, entry-level position with the following shifts available:

• Mornings
• Swings
• Graves
