Direct Care Staff

About the role

Spread Your Wings, LLC. provides supported living services including direct care staff to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges. The role involves helping clients build independent living skills, encouraging and supporting them, planning tasks, and documenting progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in developing independent living skills (e.g., cooking, budgeting, hygiene)
• Encourage, motivate, and support clients with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges
• Help plan, create, and organize tasks and schedules that promote goal achievement for clients
• Provide consistent documentation of progress through case notes

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
• Able to work in the Lakeport area
• Able to pass a background check (per state industry standards)
• Digital literacy: MS Word, email, basic data entry (report/notes)
• Heart for helping others and belief in treating people with dignity and respect
• Strong communicator, dependable, and creative problem-solver
• Comfortable working independently in one-on-one settings
• Behavioral health experience (preferred, not required)
