About The Role

As a Direct Care Staff member, you’ll be the heartbeat of our residential program — the one who brings calm to chaos, structure to uncertainty, and compassion to moments of crisis. You’ll walk alongside adults navigating psychiatric and co-occurring disorders, helping them build safety, confidence, and purpose one step at a time. This role is hands-on, relational, and deeply human. Every day is an opportunity to make a difference that matters.

What You'll Do

• Support clients through their daily routines with consistency, patience, and empathy
• Model accountability and integrity — helping clients practice real-world skills and boundaries
• Provide transportation, assist with appointments, and promote safety and engagement
• Observe, document, and communicate behavioral patterns to the treatment team
• Foster connection through encouragement, structure, and presence
• Help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect

• Pay: $24.00/hr + $1,000 to $3,000 sign-on bonus (amount based on experience within Psychiatrics)

Schedule

• Mon–Fri: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
• Sat–Sun: 6:30 AM–3:00 PM or 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
• Overnight shift: 4 X 10 schedule 9:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Some flexibility required
• Weekend shift differential: employees will receive an additional hourly differential of $1.00 per hour for all hours worked during the defined weekend period

Location

Oceanside, CA (relocation required before start date)

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in behavioral health or human services preferred
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
• 21+ with valid CA driver's license and clean record
• Able to pass background check, TB test, and health screening
