Direct Care Program Instructor

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare instructional materials and lesson plans that align with program objectives.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive sessions to participants, ensuring clarity and comprehension.
  • Assess participant progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with program staff to evaluate and improve curriculum content and delivery methods.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and program evaluations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in instructional delivery or teaching in a formal or informal setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to manage diverse groups and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Basic proficiency with educational technology and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Education, Adult Learning, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with community-based programs or non-profit organizations.
  • Certification in instructional design or adult education.
  • Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and digital content creation.
  • Multilingual abilities to support diverse participant populations.

  • The Program Instructor utilizes strong communication skills daily to clearly convey complex concepts and engage participants effectively.
  • Organizational skills are essential for preparing lesson plans, managing schedules, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Adaptability allows the instructor to modify teaching approaches based on participant feedback and learning styles, ensuring inclusivity and effectiveness.
  • Collaboration skills are important when working with program coordinators and other staff to refine curriculum and address participant needs.
  • Proficiency with educational technology enhances the delivery of content and supports remote or hybrid learning environments.

Pay

Earn between $18-20/hour in this position.
