About the role

Lifesteps, a local human service agency with over 100 years of service, is hiring compassionate staff to work with adults who have disabilities in a residential home setting in Plum, PA. Direct Care Aides (Caregivers) assist individuals with special needs in their activities of daily living and home care.

Responsibilities

• Cooking and serving meals
• Cleaning the house
• Shopping for groceries and supplies
• Personal care assistance like grooming or bathing
• Medication administration
• Assistance with individual goal attainment
• Community outings and fun activities
• Transport to doctor appointments

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Ability to lift up to 200 lbs. with assistance
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances

Schedule

Steady, full-time hours available with shifts:

• Daytime: 7 am to 3 pm
• Evening: 7 am to 11 pm

Part-time hours are also available with flexible scheduling to fit your needs.

Qualifications

No experience necessary! Paid training provided. Experienced home health aides, nurse’s aides, support assistants, and direct support professionals are welcome.
