Direct Care Companion

About the role

Lifesteps, a local human service agency with over 100 years of experience, is hiring compassionate and caring Direct Care Aides (Caregivers) to work with adults who have disabilities in a residential home setting in Gibsonia, PA. Caregivers assist individuals with their activities of daily living and home care.

Responsibilities

• Cooking and serving meals
• Cleaning the house
• Shopping for groceries and supplies
• Personal care assistance like grooming or bathing
• Medication administration
• Assisting with individual goal attainment
• Community outings and fun activities
• Transport to doctor appointments

Schedule

Steady, full-time hours available with the following shifts:

• Overnight: 9 pm to 9 am
• Overnight: 3 pm to 7 am

Part-time hours are also available with flexible scheduling to fit your needs, ideal for additional income or a second job.

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Ability to lift up to 200 lbs. with assistance
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances

No experience necessary! Paid training provided. Experienced home health aides, nurse’s aides, support assistants, and direct support professionals are welcome.
