Direct Care Aides
About the role
Lifesteps is a local human service agency with over 100 years of experience, hiring compassionate staff to work with adults who have disabilities in a residential home setting in the Harmarville area of Pittsburgh, PA (15238), near Allison Park and Blawnox. Direct Care Aides (Caregivers) assist individuals with activities of daily living and home care, including dressing, meal preparation, bathing, and transportation to doctor appointments.
Responsibilities
- Cooking and serving meals
- Cleaning the house
- Shopping for groceries and supplies
- Personal care assistance such as grooming or bathing
- Medication administration
- Individual goal attainment assistance
- Community outings and fun activities
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift up to 200 lbs. with assistance
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances
Qualifications
No experience necessary; paid training provided. Experienced home health aides, nurse's aides, support assistants, and direct support professionals are welcome.

Schedule
Full-time steady hours available. Shift options include overnight shifts from 11 pm to 7 am, or an evening/overnight combo working 16‑hour shifts from 3 pm to 7 am. Part‑time hours with flexible scheduling are also offered to fit your needs.
