Direct Action EOD Subject Matter Expert
Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Direct Action Trainer providing advanced skills training for Direct Action EOD Technicians to operate as an enabler supporting Maneuver and Special Operations Forces (SOF) in hazardous threat areas including CBRNE, HME, sensitive site exploitation (SSE), post blast investigations, improvised explosive device (IED) electronics and circuit diagnostics, manual neutralization techniques, Opposing Force (OPFOR) targeting, IED and vehicle borne IED defeat, unmanned aerial systems (UAS) defeat, advanced marksmanship, and small unit tactics. The role emphasizes the foundational fundamentals of Shoot, Move, Communicate, and Medicate as core advanced skills for EOD Soldiers deploying in support of Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) in Large-Scale Combat Operations (LSCO) environments. Position requires travel to training locations in support of EOD organizations.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced skills training for Direct Action EOD Technicians
- Support Maneuver and Special Operations Forces (SOF) in hazardous threat areas such as CBRNE, HME, SSE, post blast investigations, and IED electronics
- Train on manual neutralization techniques, OPFOR targeting, IED and vehicle borne IED defeat, UAS defeat, advanced marksmanship, and small unit tactics
- Reinforce foundational fundamentals: Shoot, Move, Communicate, and Medicate
- Travel to training locations (up to 25% of the time)
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the US military
- 8+ years of experience with EOD
- Experience with deployments conducting SOF operations in austere locations
- Experience with military training methods and techniques
- TS/SCI clearance (required)
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a Foundational Instructor or Facilitator certification within 120 days of start date
- Graduate of Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal
Qualifications
- Experience in curriculum training development (preferred)
- Experience producing written reports and evaluations (preferred)
- Experience with advanced electronics, including training (preferred)
- Experience with CBRN operations (preferred)
- Ability to prepare and present briefings at company level and higher (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

Pay
Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
This position may be remote, hybrid, or onsite:
- Remote: Occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility may be required.
- Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with possible visits to customer facilities as needed.
- Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers.
Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
