Brief Description
The Reserve Club at Woodside is seeking a Dining Room Attendant to support the service team in the dining room.
Essential Job Functions
- Act in a support role for ownership, guests, and other service staff.
- Complete opening and closing side work as determined by management.
- Carry out all reasonable requests by management.
- Participate in departmental meetings, inter-departmental meetings, shift line-ups, and incentive programs.
- Ensure the safe handling of equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Responsibility to Members/Guests
- Communicate clearly and accurately with guests and co-workers.
- Cordially greet members and guests; call them by name if known.
- Maintain proper behavior and appearance, including a “clean and pressed” uniform.
- Approach all encounters with guests, members, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
- Provide quick and attentive assistance to any mishap in the dining room.
Responsibility to Associates
- Expedites food orders and brings food to correct tables, ensuring food is served to the correct person (No actioning off food).
- Constructively accepts direction and instruction from other service staff.
- Assists waiters and waitresses in serving meals, clearing tables, delivering food and drinks; assists in the dining room as needed.
- Assists in carrying food trays to tables.
- Approach all encounters with guests, members, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
- Effectively communicates with servers.
General Requirements and Duties
- Make and arrange tables and chairs at the outset of each shift as directed by management.
- Properly stock dining room stations with the required amount of linen, B&B plates, flatware, glassware, and other items necessary for effective service.
- Clear and reset tables as instructed.
- Provide water service on demand in a professional manner.
- Remove soiled dishes from table without stacking more than is reasonable and bring to dish washing area.
- Maintain clean floors in the dining room throughout food service.
- Collects trash from dining room and other specified areas after each serving period.
- Returns equipment to its proper place.
- Be able to spend several hours at a time standing up or walking.
Education/Experience
A year of experience as a bus person or food runner in a similar environment or fine dining restaurant is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
