About the role

Responsible for ensuring fast, friendly, and courteous service to every customer. Serves as a working Supervisor who runs the service delivery of food and beverage during a scheduled shift.

Directly supervises the Dining Room Host, Busser, Lead Food Server, Food Server, Room Service Server, Room Service Operator, and Concession Attendant. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

As a Supervisor, you are expected to actively support ECMs in their professional and academic goals by providing personalized guidance, identifying growth opportunities, facilitating participation in training and development programs, offering feedback and recognition, and connecting ECMs with mentors and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures excellent customer service for every guest, every time.
  • Schedules Food/Beverage personnel for respective restaurant outlet.
  • Assists with daily receivables, storing, and inventorying product from vendors.
  • Orders all Food/Beverage supplies for respective restaurant outlet.
  • Verifies validity of casino complimentary slips for the food and beverage check.
  • Maintains and instructs assigned personnel on safety and health standards, policies, and procedures to eliminate hazards.
  • Ensures designated work areas, flatware, glasses, dinnerware, and other customer-serving items are free from hazards (e.g., chips, breaks, liquid on floor).
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance by attending annual training and enforces regulations to protect cardholder data.
  • Observes and reports inappropriate card handling activity by customers or employees as defined by PCI.
  • Enforces all applicable regulations under the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 31, Chapter X, including observing and reporting suspicious activity by customers or employees.
  • Attends annual Title 31/Anti-Money Laundering training to maintain knowledge of federal regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One to three years of supervisory experience in a hospitality environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of basic restaurant cashiering procedures, tray service, and beverage ingredients.
  • POS experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Arizona State Liquor Laws (Title 4) and/or Arizona Alcohol Awareness certification a plus.
  • Must possess a Maricopa County Food Handlers Card.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; InfoGenesis experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, maintain a cheerful and friendly personality, and present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Stand for prolonged periods of time; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to:

  • Wet and/or humid conditions and secondary smoke.
  • Moderate to loud noise levels.
