Dining Services Server - Part-Time

The Lutheran Home is seeking a part-time, hospitality-minded Dining Services Server to join our healthcare community kitchen. In this detail-oriented role, you'll serve residents with care, ensure proper portioning for regular and modified diets, oversee the serving station, and help create a clean and welcoming dining and kitchen environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, provides personalized service to residents, and upholds our core values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship in every interaction. Responsibilities May Include But Are Not Limited To Serve food attractively while ensuring proper temperatures and sanitation standards, recording all food tempsSafely operate and maintain food service equipmentPerform daily cleaning and follow sanitary guidelinesAssist with ordering, receiving, and storing food suppliesSupport kitchen operations by promptly delivering items, running supplies, and filling in for other roles as neededInteract warmly with residents and families to meet dietary needs and preferencesProperly rotate, label, and date food productsEnforce infection control, safety, and disaster policiesFoster teamwork between departments for efficient, coordinated food delivery and service Typical Schedule This position is regularly scheduled to work: Mondays and Fridays: 3:30 PM – 7:00 PMSaturdays and Sundays: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM Skills And Qualifications Excellent customer service skillsTime managementAttention to detailMinimum age of 18High school diploma or GED equivalent preferredDietary experience preferred About The Lutheran Home Since 1972, the Lutheran Home has provided the region’s residents with dignified and compassionate care.
