About the role
The Director of Culinary oversees the dining services operation of our community, ensuring outstanding customer service and upscale dining experiences. This position involves creating dynamic menu options, ordering supplies, adhering to the department budget, and managing dietary and kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment. Some cooking is required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the dining services operation of the community
- Create dynamic menu options
- Order supplies and adhere to department budget
- Provide outstanding customer and upscale dining services
- Hire, schedule, and supervise dietary and kitchen staff
- Multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Perform some cooking duties
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a Director of Culinary in dining services
- Management experience in a Senior Living Community
- Fine dining experience is helpful
- Supervisory/management experience required
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Computer skills required
- ServSafe Certificate required
- Culinary degree preferred
