Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and supervise activities of the department to provide food services for residents/patients, employees, and visitors.
  • Provide technical guidance and administrative direction to the Food and Nutrition Services personnel.
  • Operate department within budget by utilizing purchasing programs, food specifications, and ordering systems to order food and supplies.
  • Perform quality improvement functions including audits, interviews, and rounds with residents/patients, department personnel, and co-workers.
  • Identify opportunities for improved customer service, food production, and dining program enhancements.
  • Ensure menus, recipes, and menu systems are followed to prepare meals, snacks, and nourishments in accordance with prescribed resident/patient diets and that meals and snacks are served timely.
  • Plan and oversee the execution of special events, celebrations, marketing events, and other food-related nursing center functions to meet resident/patient, nursing center, and employee requests.
  • Interview and hire personnel within the department budget and orient, train, and develop personnel to maintain a high level of performance.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and visitors and to respond to their medical and physical needs.

Pay

Posted Salary Range: USD $71,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 per year.
