Responsibilities
- The Dining Services Director is responsible for the overall management of the dining program with the goal of ensuring that patients/residents and families receive the highest quality dining service experience in an attentive and responsive atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.
- Directly or indirectly supervises the Dining Services personnel to include Executive Chef and Servers.
- Confirms that menus, recipes and menu systems are followed to prepare meals, snacks and nourishments in accordance to prescribed patient diets and requests.
- Confirms satisfaction with the meals/food served along with timely and accurate preparation and service.
- Plan and execute special events, celebrations, marketing events and other dining related nursing center functions to meet patient, nursing center and employee requests.
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent is required.
- Must have experience in hotels/resorts, restaurants, catering, or other similar on-site food service management venues.
- Must possess Serve Safe and other certifications in accordance with regulatory agencies governing the nursing center.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and visitors and respond to their medical and physical needs.
