Dining Server, Part-Time
About the role
The Dining Services Server is accountable for providing prompt, courteous service to all residents and guests in the dining room during meal times. The role involves serving, cleaning, hospitality, and waiting/bussing tables. Duties may also include preparing salads and desserts as directed. Essential responsibilities include assisting in food preparation, hospitality duties, and meal service, including serving food, waiting tables, and bussing tables. The server will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals to residents, guests, and staff in the dining room or bistro. They will bus and reset tables as needed, prepare salad bar items for lunch, fill the salad bar with ice and set for service, prepare and stage desserts, assist in setting up meetings or other special events, and follow all sanitation guidelines, federal/state regulations, and Senior Living/Healthcare requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation, hospitality duties, and meal service, including serving food, waiting tables, and bussing tables.
- Serve Breakfast, lunch and dinner meals to residents, guests, and staff in the Dining Room or Bistro.
- Bus and reset tables as needed.
- Prepare salad bar items for lunch.
- Fill salad bar with ice and set for service, including gathering plates and bowls as necessary for salad bar and soup kettles.
- Prepare and stage desserts.
- Light food prep for special events.
- Auxiliary support for setting up meetings or other special events, including delivery of snacks, coffee, tea, etc.
- Follow all sanitation guidelines, federal/state regulations, and Senior Living/Healthcare requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness of prep items.
- Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled and/or needed.
- “Open” and “Close” dining rooms as needed.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience Required: - High school diploma - Current Food Handler’s Permit - Training in Servsafe is beneficial - One (1) year of food service experience including but not limited to: serving/waiting tables, cleaning and kitchen sanitation protocols, basic food/meal prep is preferred

Physical Requirements
- May be required to lift or carry equipment or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent stooping, bending, climbing, reaching, pulling/pushing, and long periods of walking and/or standing.
- May be required to stand, sit, twist, bend, squat, kneel or crouch when performing job duties.
- Must possess adequate sight and hearing to meet the responsibilities of this position.
Pay
Compensation Pay Range: $16.06 - $20.88 per hour
