About the Role

The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for the flow of service from the kitchen to ensure all residents receive their preferences in both food and beverages. This role involves working with professionalism and knowledge of basic food offerings and menu content while maintaining a clean and well-prepared dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Takes resident(s) meal orders and serves meals collectively and efficiently using exceptional customer service techniques.
• Completes various tasks to ensure the dining room and kitchen areas are fully stocked and prepared to serve residents.
• Assists with set up and cleaning of kitchen and dining room before and after each meal.
• Delivers trays to rooms of residents who request room service.
• May perform all kitchen helper and dishwasher duties as needed.
• Assists in seating residents.
• Supervises servers to ensure safe and timely delivery of meals.
• Communicates assignments clearly to staff.
• Manages the server schedule to budgeted labor hours and ensures shifts are covered.
• Oversees, delegates, and helps maintain a clean and organized dining room with attention to detail for cleanliness.
• Provides continued guidance to servers in maintaining a professional appearance and work ethic.
• Demonstrates ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements.

Requirements

• Valid Food Handlers Permit
• 1st AID / CPR Card
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Ability to work in a team environment and flexible shifts
• Effective communication in English to receive food or drink orders and give responses
• Enjoyment working with the elderly and ability to accept constructive criticism
• Proven ability to understand and demonstrate responsible behavior
