Responsibilities

  • Ensures quality meals are prepared, cooked, and served to residents, families, guests and employees.
  • Provides guidance and support to the dining team including training in new team members and ongoing coaching.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact in support of, or in the absence of the Leadership Team.
  • Assists leader with scheduling issues when call-ins occur.
  • Maintains food and supply inventory levels and orders as needed.
  • Aids all workers and positions in the dining department; identifies tasks and assists as needed.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work area.
  • Complies with state and federal rules and regulations, follows established policies, procedures and practices of the facility.
  • Partners with department leaders to maintain awareness of facility special events and activities to ensure adequate product and labor are available.
  • Provides input on the annual budget for the dining department and operates the work area within this budget.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Certified Food Protection Manager in accordance with MN Department of Health or eligible within 90-days of hire
  • Commercial kitchen experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations

Pay

The targeted pay range for this job is $24.00 to $28.00 per hour. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Schedule

Full-Time
Shift: 10:00am-6:30pm
80 hours bi-weekly
Position works weekly Tuesday through Saturday; off every Sunday & Monday
