Dining Associate I

What We Offer

Works under the supervision of the Food Service Coordinators, Chef and Food and Nutrition Management.

Responsible for providing exemplary meal services to patients, employees and visitors.

What You'll Do

• Covers patient trays, loads trays in carts and delivers carts to assigned locations.
• Maintains department sanitation standards.
• Participates in department performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a daily commitment to meeting or exceeding the established Standards of Performance.
• Cleans patient trays, cafeteria trays, china, pots and pans, and department spaces.
• Retrieves patient tray carts after meal service.
• Washes dishes, china, silverware, pots and pans according to department procedures.
• Empties and removes department trash according to department procedures.
• Follows department sanitation guidelines.
• Maintains exemplary customer service in department and initiates efforts to resolve concerns.
• Practices appropriate written and verbal communication as necessary to support patient care duties and general operations.
• Supports program operations by demonstrating flexibility and adaptability with work assignments.
• Follows assigned work schedule and job outlines.
• Applies sound judgment in problem solving and prioritizing of duties.
• Manages job duties effectively and efficiently.
• Performs all required activities with minimal oversight needed.
• Maintains good attendance per Novant’s Attendance Policy

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Six months experience in restaurant or customer service setting preferred, preferred.
