Dining and Nutritional Services Assistant Manager - FT

Role And Responsibilities

Aid in the planning, development, organization, and direction of functions within the Dining and Nutritional Services Department (including personnel and administrative tasks).

Show appropriate and effective supervisory skills, applying fair and uniformly applied corrective actions without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, age, sex, religion, handicap, or marital status.

Maintain effective inter-departmental and inter-professional communication to foster positive working relationships.

Comply with established budget constraints.

Manage appropriate supplies and equipment necessary for job performance in accordance with the departmental budget.

May be required to plan and conduct in-service training programs.

May be required to carry out duties of other Dining and Nutritional Services personnel as needed.

Implement and adhere to departmental procedural guidelines and job descriptions.

Participate in the hiring process, including interviewing, screening, and selecting Dining and Nutritional Services associates.

Review departmental functions to ensure compliance with current standards and procedural guidelines.

Promote the image and reputation of the System through servant leadership and open communication.

Contribute to the work of committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts within the System.

Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.

• Proficient in using a computer, especially Microsoft Office, Excel, and Power Point.
• Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills required.
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Communicate well with other associates, patients, family members, and visitors, providing warm and friendly greetings and an approachable attitude.
• Respond to expressed concerns with a helpful, caring demeanor and answer questions professionally when appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of a High School diploma or its equivalent is required.
