Dimensional / Roller Hemming Technical Specialist

Job Responsibilities

• Expertise in Roller Hemming: Deep understanding of roller hemming techniques specific to automotive exterior panels.
• Knowledge of high-precision tooling and fixtures for Class A surface panels.
• Dimensional Inspection Skills: Proficiency with coordinate measuring machines (CMM), laser scanners, and other precision measurement tools.
• Strong grasp of dimensional tolerances and surface quality standards.
• Technical & Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze process data, identify root causes of dimensional issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Familiarity with metal forming, surface finishing, and aesthetic quality requirements.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in automotive body-in-white or exterior panel assembly is highly preferred.

Skills

• Precision-oriented with a focus on surface quality.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and process troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of automotive industry standards (e.g., OEM specifications, IATF standards).
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
