Dimensional Engineering Specialist – Chassis Commodities

Key Responsibilities
- Define and establish datum schemes, tolerances, and requirements for chassis commodities.
- Serve as Dimensional Variation Analysis (DVA) lead for feasibility assessments.
- Oversee the drawing-check process for designated vehicle commodities.
- Define and implement measurement strategies.
- Approve fixtures in accordance with project requirements.
Required Attributes
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 6-8 years’ experience in dimensional management.
- Knowledge of basic statistical concepts and process control.
- Strong understanding of Variation Simulation Analysis tools.
- Knowledge of measurement systems and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of dimensional engineering deliverables within the vehicle development process.
- Proficiency in standard PC tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
Salary
$125,000-135,000. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- In-depth understanding of chassis commodities within vehicle requirements.
- Proficiency in performing 1D/3D stack-up analyses to evaluate design feasibility.
- Ability to organize and present complex technical information in a clear, concise, and impactful manner across the organization.
- Experience in Build troubleshooting.
- Capability to train and mentor team members.
- Advanced knowledge of GD&T principles, with proven ability to create and validate technical drawings.
- Proficiency in CATIA (V5 and V6).
