The Opportunity We are seeking motivated college students eager to dive into digital journalism, audience development, and video storytelling. This three-month internship offers hands-on experience producing and packaging timely content for YouTube, social media, and major digital platforms. Core Responsibilities Interns will support Atlanta Black Star's editorial and audience teams by: Editing timely news, political and cultural videos for YouTube and social mediaCreating short-form and long-form video content using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar softwareIdentifying compelling breaking-news clips, political moments, interviews and culturally relevant storiesMonitoring trusted news sources, public hearings, press conferences and social platforms for video opportunitiesResearching stories, public figures and potential video topicsWriting engaging headlines, video descriptions, captions and social media copySourcing appropriate footage, images and supporting materialsAdapting content for different platforms and audience behaviorsAssisting with publishing, organizing and tracking digital contentSupporting special editorial projects, including coverage of the 2026 midterm electionsParticipating in team meetings and editorial discussionsCompleting assignments accurately and within fast-moving news deadlines
