About The Creative Executive

The Creative Executive is a media and education platform where creatives come to master the business of their art. Artists are becoming founders, executives are becoming storytellers, and much of what a creative person needs to know about money, partnerships, and career design is rarely taught in one place. We turn access into education through a long-form conversation show with producers, studio executives, recording artists, comedians, and entrepreneurs who have built at the highest levels; paired with curriculum, case studies, a newsletter, and a community to grow alongside. We're a small and mighty team getting ready for our launch. You'll pitch ideas directly to the founders, get real feedback, and have the opportunity to pursue brand-defining ideas.

The Role

Making short-form content and running social media for a platform that spans education and entertainment. You'll be shooting and editing compelling short-form content, and exploring all the ways our diverse content can best reach the creative community. A good post might be a quote from a guest, a breakdown of how a movie budget works, a page from one of our playbooks, an invitation into our learning community, or a brand new video idea you conceive!

Responsibilities

  • Concept, shoot, and edit original short-form video
  • Assist with planning and refining the content calendar
  • Run day-to-day posting across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn
  • Build vertical-first and optimize material for Reels, TikTok, Shorts, etc
  • Watch episode footage, pull clips, and shape them into posts that will travel
  • Turn curriculum into social by transforming teachings into bite-sized ideas for social
  • Develop ideas aimed at unique slices of our audience. Film students, working artists, professionals in the middle of a career pivot, founders, and more
  • Research social trends for content inspiration and bring us the trends worth trying

What We're Looking For

  • Current student or recent grad
  • Comfortable shooting and editing short-form video and using Premiere, Da Vinci, etc.
  • A good visual eye. Carousels, thumbnails, layout, type
  • Open to playing with AI tools and new technology
  • Genuinely interested in both creativity and business. If you find deal structures and career paths as interesting as the art itself, you'll like it here
  • You bring ideas without being asked, and you can take feedback and turn it around fast

Location: Los Angeles (Hybrid) • Hours: 20 hrs/week • Pay: $20/hour
