About the role
The DTA & Professional Services Category Manager will play a key role in managing the procurement and strategic alignment of technology and professional services across BioMarin's operations. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts for IT and professional services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts for technology and professional services
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure service levels and cost efficiency
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key vendors
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures
- Support the implementation of new technologies and services
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, contract management, or related field
- Experience in managing technology and professional services contracts
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
- Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in procurement and contract management
- Experience with procurement systems and tools
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
