About the role

The Digital - SerDes Digital Design Lead position is based in the Bay Area. This full-time, on-site role requires a strong background in digital design, particularly in SerDes technologies. The ideal candidate will lead the design and implementation of high-speed serial interfaces, ensuring compatibility and performance across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and optimization of high-speed serial interfaces (SerDes)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and test engineers
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company guidelines
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of design documentation and verification plans
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior designers
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in SerDes technology and contribute to the team's knowledge base

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in digital design, with a focus on SerDes
• Experience with high-speed serial interface protocols (e.g., PCIe, USB, Ethernet)
• Strong proficiency in design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Design Compiler, and ModelSim
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality designs that meet or exceed customer expectations
• Experience with embedded systems and low-power design is a plus
• Knowledge of IP protection strategies and best practices
