Position Accountabilities

  • Lead team of product owners responsible for the following:
    • Assist each Line of Business in creating and implementing product vision, strategies and roadmaps that address business and customer needs
    • Autonomously translate business and customer needs into high value products within online banking
    • Hold vendors accountable to deliver a higher quality product faster
    • Assess digital platforms in the external marketplace and make recommendations for potential partnerships
    • Identify opportunities to leverage digital techniques for greatest strategic impact and define the priority capabilities required to succeed
    • Develop the business cases and business requirements for digital opportunities and drive to execution
    • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to shape and implement digital strategies, programs, and initiatives
    • Bring the voice of the customer/client and the voice of the advisor/employee into our product features, ensuring that features delivered are aligned with the intended business outcomes, and align work with our target architecture road map
    • Develop and manage goals and key performance indicators
    • Prioritize product requirements and coordinate release plans with IT and key constituents
    • Serve as primary business point of contact for implementation activities and work closely across with key constituents to meet scheduled milestones
    • Guide and direct complex projects, identify key stakeholders and gain participation
    • Lead team of analysts responsible for the following:
      • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to help identify business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals
      • Lead design sessions in prototyping new system or functionality for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow
      • Develop and maintain design documentation working across the organization for documenting integration points between systems
      • Uncover risk and deliver controls
      • Act as liaison to IT and Operations teams for managing change/release management efforts and troubleshooting system and end user issues
      • Coverage of testing, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support

Position Qualifications

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • 10+ years of financial services experience
    • 5+ years of experience in the digital space
    • Experience as a people manager
  • Knowledge & Skills
    • Human Centered: Obsess about external customer needs and make banking easier using an understanding of software design heuristics
    • Business Focused: Deliver business stakeholder key outcomes, KPIs, and goals
    • Technology Drive: Leverages technology to deliver scalable and innovative software and can problem solve with vendors and engineering partners
    • System Thinking and Problem Solving: Understands the interconnections and patterns between dependent systems and leverages this understanding to solve capabilities gaps in an efficient manner
    • Leadership and Influence: Operates with ownership and accountability for product outcomes. Fosters collaboration across teams, resolving conflicts and ambiguity
    • Excellent verbal, Clear Communicator writing and presentation skills, including ability to develop and deliver executive level strategy reviews and product updates
