About Us

The human brain is the most complex object in the universe, yet society has accepted one-size-fits-all approaches to cognition. We created Thesis, the world's first customized nootropics company, to offer brain supplements tailored to individual needs. In five years, we envision most people taking nootropics daily—likely ours. With an exceptional efficacy rate, we've raised over $13M in venture capital, attracted interest from leading neuroscientists and athletes, and established ourselves as the industry's leading brand. Join us to help share the gift of enhanced cognitive function with the world.

About the Role

Our website is our storefront, salesperson, and most important brand asset. This role owns the visual identity of that digital world. It’s a digital product design position for someone who sees ideas through from concept to launch. You’ll take work from wireframe to full-fidelity, on-brand execution, and use AI tooling to accelerate shipping. Experience in ecommerce, direct response, and CRO is critical—especially building landing pages, checkouts, and commerce-driven UX. You should have strong design chops, a point of view on typography and hierarchy, and a marketer’s instinct for conversion. Our brand foundations are established; this role focuses on extending and applying them with precision and speed across landing pages, product detail pages, quiz/onboarding flows, and the underlying design system. You’ll partner closely with our Digital Product Manager to own both the look and performance of the work.

We’re an AI-forward company, and AI fluency is essential. You’ll use AI tools for QA, analysis, and reporting, and we expect you to build interactive prototypes with AI rather than relying solely on static comps. Our brands prioritize craft, and our regulated category demands taste and judgment as much as speed.

Responsibilities

  • Own design end-to-end across Thesis digital surfaces, from wireframe to production-ready design, developer handoff, and launch QA.
  • Partner with the Digital Product Manager to co-own the CRO and experimentation program, from hypothesis to variant design, launch planning, QA, and readout.
  • Translate brand identity into digital execution and build the design system to make future pages faster and more consistent to ship.
  • Design direct-response assets that convert, including advertorials, landing pages, offer/pricing modules, and quiz flows, with a clear grasp of the funnel each serves.
  • Turn clinical results, ingredient mechanisms, and study data into accurate, on-brand, and persuasive charts, comparisons, and infographics.
  • Use data (session recordings, heatmaps, test results) as a design input to generate hypotheses.
  • Shape how our team uses AI in creative and technical work, sharing tools and workflows with marketing while knowing when AI isn’t the right answer.

Requirements

  • 6+ years designing digital product or ecommerce experiences, with direct-to-consumer (DTC) experience. You’ve owned a site end-to-end, and your portfolio demonstrates both visual craft and conversion results.
  • Exceptional visual and interaction design skills, with a strong point of view on typography, hierarchy, brand systems, and commerce UX. You can carry craft from early concepts to production-ready designs.
  • Talent for translating data and science into compelling visuals. You know how to make clinical data, ingredient breakdowns, and competitor comparisons build trust and drive sales.
  • Direct-response instinct. You’ve run or contributed heavily to a CRO program and can discuss tests you designed, the reasoning behind them, and lessons from failures.
  • AI fluency in practice. Tools like Claude, Figma AI, Lovable, Replit, or Midjourney are already part of your workflow, and you can point to work AI made faster or possible.

Nice to Have

  • Technical fluency to collaborate with developers and use AI-assisted tools for interactive prototypes (coding not required).
  • Curiosity about the science behind nootropics—you’ll want to understand mechanisms before designing charts.
  • Ability to hold opinions strongly but loosely, letting data guide decisions.
  • Genuine interest in the user’s experience, prioritizing trust over clicks.
  • Enthusiasm for adopting and sharing new tools.
  • Bias toward shipping good work quickly, knowing when to prioritize speed over perfection.
  • Experience with experimentation platforms like Shoplift, Growthbook, or Shopify Tests.
  • Experience building and stewarding design systems or component libraries in fast-moving environments.
  • Design experience in regulated, science-forward categories (e.g., supplements, health), where claims-bound copy and disclosures must feel intentional.
  • Motion/micro-interaction design skills or art direction for photo/video.

Pay

The base salary hiring range for this position is $140,000–$165,000, with final compensation based on location, skill level, and experience. This is part of a total rewards package including comprehensive benefits and equity.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation with a generous equity package.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans (including 100% premium coverage for all three).
  • HSA, FSA, and pre-tax commuter benefits for parking and transit.
  • Ancillary benefits.
  • 401k for future planning.
  • Flexible PTO to support work/life harmony.
  • Unlimited Thesis nootropics.
  • Emphasis on internal promotion and personal development.
  • Dog-friendly office in Flatiron, steps from Union Square and Madison Square Park.
  • Hybrid work model.

Values

  • Meet Your Potential: We create opportunities for personal and professional growth, reward hard work and entrepreneurial spirit, and provide open, honest feedback to help you learn and improve.
  • Own Outcomes: We’re driven by meaningful results for customers and the business, taking responsibility in triumph and challenge, and operating with urgency to seize opportunities.
  • Lead with Science and Data: We’re obsessed with data to understand impact, seek truth through objective metrics, and let science and evidence guide everything from product formulation to marketing claims.
  • Create Exceptional Experiences: We foster a unique culture and deep sense of belonging, showing up for each other and building an inclusive, warm environment. We deliver thoughtful, impactful experiences for customers trying our products.
