Digital Press Operator (HP)-Weekend Shift

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes daily work load.
• Understands all systems and manufacturing capabilities and processes and looks for opportunities to streamline workflow.
• Inspects printed material in accordance with the work instructions to ensure quality and consistency.
• Makes all appropriate updates to systems and logs.
• Utilizes Printstream to log time print time for each job.
• Performs regularly scheduled maintenance on the press.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems on the press.
• Reviews job specifications in their entirety prior to starting the job and follows the instructions accurately.
• Advises supervisor of job specifications in question.
• Reports all production related problems to supervisor.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding employee, company and customer information.
• Meets all defined departmental standards for quality, productivity, efficiency and waste.
• Keeps work area neat, clean and well organized.
• Responsible for the successful completion of assigned tasks and projects.
• Complies with all safety and health policies, procedures and practices; actively supports safety improvement initiatives; uses materials and equipment in an appropriate and safe manner; carries out all tasks in a manner so as to not create a hazard to oneself or others.
• Supports organizational goals and values.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in printing or related field preferred. Must have strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have good mechanical aptitude and be able to troubleshoot problems. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
