Responsibilities Generate creative ideas to develop as content and pitch to journalists/bloggersBuild media lists for a variety of B2B and B2C clients across a wide range of industry groupsWork with our content marketing team to create unique, proprietary data to establish our clients as industry experts in their fieldPitch content generated by our team to news media for the primary purpose of generating coverage and visibility for our organic growth clientsMonitor news and proactively pitch new storiesHave a firm grasp on writing effective leadsNurture and develop relationships with writers, reporters and bloggersConduct comprehensive research including validating sources and finding the most recent and relevant data available Required Skills Passion for public relations, data-driven content, email outreach and media relationsExperience running surveys and crafting stories from data to pitch to national news3-5 years experience working in an agency or similar PR environment for major U.S. brandsStrong interpersonal skills, with ability to form productive working relationshipsStrong project management skills, with ability to juggle multiple projects while still working effectivelyAbility to set priorities, meet deadlines and work independentlyStrong attention to detail, i.e. near perfect grammar and strong editing skills Suggested Skills Basic to intermediary SEO knowledgeExperience using Microsoft Office and/or the Google Doc tool suiteExperience using a media relations tool such as Muck Rack or Cision The salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$73,500.00 DOE.
