About the role

Join WCW — the bipartisan taxpayer watchdog leading the fight to expose and close the government’s $20 billion animal experimentation business. As Digital Operations Manager, you'll serve as the day-to-day owner of WCW's digital systems, platforms, and project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day owner of WCW’s digital operations, ensuring that campaigns, investigations, victories, fundraising initiatives, and organizational updates are accurately and timely reflected across WCW’s digital platforms.
  • Proactively identify when website content, advocacy actions, and other digital assets need to be created, updated, improved, closed, or archived.
  • Manage digital projects from concept through completion, including coordinating internal input, assigning or overseeing vendor work, tracking deadlines, testing deliverables, and ensuring timely launch.
  • Collaborate with WCW leadership, staff, and outside vendors, consultants, and agencies to keep digital initiatives organized, accurate, on-brand, and aligned with WCW’s goals.
  • Build, edit, and maintain emails, petitions, landing pages, donation forms, advocacy pages, and related assets.
  • Test digital assets before launch, including links, forms, tracking, donation flows, mobile display, message flows, and audience segmentation where applicable.
  • Manage website updates and improvements, including coordinating internally and externally to ensure WCW’s work, wins, and campaigns are presented clearly and effectively.
  • Conduct regular reviews of WCW’s digital assets, including quarterly review and closure or archival of outdated pages, forms, and campaign materials.
  • Stay current on WCW’s campaigns, investigations, victories, and priorities so that digital platforms remain accurate, active, and strategically useful.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues as needed.
  • Project manage vendors, consultants, and agencies supporting WCW’s digital work, including for fundraising, web development, design, and other service providers.
  • Translate internal goals into clear assignments, timelines, deliverables, and feedback for vendors and ensure that projects move forward efficiently.
  • Review vendor work for accuracy, quality, brand consistency, and alignment with WCW’s mission and campaign goals before launch or publication.
  • Pull, organize, and report digital metrics from Engaging Networks, Tatango, website analytics, advertising platforms, and other systems as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of digital initiatives, campaign assets, vendor projects, performance data, and related materials in Airtable or other designated systems.
  • Use performance data and platform reviews to identify opportunities to improve digital workflows, campaign execution, user experience, and recordkeeping.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience in digital communications, digital fundraising, advocacy, campaign operations, nonprofit digital programs, or a related field.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple platforms, vendors, deadlines, approvals, and deliverables at once.
  • Hands-on experience building, editing, testing, or managing petitions, landing pages, donation forms, email campaigns, SMS campaigns, advocacy actions, or similar digital assets.
  • Experience with Engaging Networks or a comparable digital fundraising, advocacy, or CRM platform strongly preferred.
  • Experience with SMS/texting platforms such as Tatango, Mobile Commons, Hustle, or similar tools preferred.
  • Experience coordinating website updates and working with web developers, designers, digital fundraising vendors, consultants, or other outside contractors.
  • Ability to pull, organize, and explain digital metrics from platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, including careful review of copy, links, forms, tracking, data, records, and published materials.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience maintaining project records, campaign documentation, asset trackers, or similar systems.
  • Experience with Airtable and Salesforce is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across creative, technical, and leadership teams.
  • Good writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Sound judgment, strong follow-through, and the ability to identify what needs to be updated, fixed, launched, closed, documented, or escalated.
  • Ability to manage vendors while also executing hands-on digital work directly.
  • Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong alignment with WCW’s single-issue mission to end taxpayer-funded animal experiments.

Compensation

This is a full-time, work-from-home, salaried position with benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), and paid vacation and holidays. The salary range is $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
