Our advanced technology, proven marketing approach, research-based instructional design services, and advanced AI-enabled services deliver outstanding outcomes for our university partners, powering success across higher education in the United States. We are seeking a hands-on Digital Media Specialist to manage the day-to-day execution and performance of paid search, paid social, and programmatic campaigns across Everspring's portfolio of higher education partners. This role owns campaign builds, budget pacing, optimization, testing, and reporting for assigned programs, with a primary focus on Google Ads and Meta. The role works with partners across Analytics, Creative, Partner Marketing, MarTech, and Client Engagement, while continuing to build strategic judgment and client-facing experience. This role reports to the Digital Media Manager and is located in Chicago, offering a hybrid work environment with a minimum of 3 days required in the office every week and additional days as business needs arise.
Responsibilities
- Develop, launch, and meticulously manage paid search and social campaigns across platforms like Google Ads, Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram), and LinkedIn, ensuring alignment with client lead generation and enrollment objectives.
- Continuously track vital metrics including Click-Through Rate (CTR), Cost-Per-Click (CPC), Cost-Per-Acquisition (CPA), and conversion rates. Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends and implement data-informed optimizations—such as bid adjustments, ad copy/creative refreshes, and audience refinement—to enhance ROI and overall campaign efficacy.
- Conduct comprehensive keyword research and audience segmentation analysis to bolster campaign strategy. Support the development of marketing strategies for new client programs by researching market trends, competitive landscapes, and contributing data-backed recommendations for campaign planning.
- Generate and prepare routine performance reports and dashboards using tools like Google Analytics and Looker Studio. Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and articulate findings effectively to both internal teams and clients.
- Collaborate closely with client partners and internal stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor in digital advertising. Clearly articulate campaign strategies, tactical approaches, and performance outcomes to clients, incorporating their feedback to continuously refine campaign execution.
- Configure and manage conversion tracking and tagging via Google Tag Manager (GTM) and platform pixels to ensure precise measurement of all campaign activities. Proactively troubleshoot tracking discrepancies and validate data integrity for accurate reporting.
- Stay abreast of the latest digital marketing innovations, platform updates (e.g., Google Ads features, social media ad functionalities, algorithm changes), and industry best practices. Proactively test emerging features or strategies and share valuable insights with the team to foster continuous improvement in campaign outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing. Recent graduates with strong, relevant internships in paid media are highly encouraged to apply. Hands-on experience with paid search or paid social campaigns is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with managing campaigns on Google Ads, Facebook/Meta Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager. A foundational understanding of best practices for each channel is a plus.
- Practical experience utilizing Google Analytics for website traffic and campaign performance analysis. Exposure to creating reports or dashboards in Looker Studio (Google Data Studio). Familiarity with Google Tag Manager (GTM) for tag implementation and pixel deployment.
- Demonstrates strong analytical capabilities and comfort working with quantitative data—adept at interpreting metrics, deriving actionable insights, and making decisions based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Proficiency in Excel or similar data analysis tools is a plus.
- Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently, taking initiative, and effectively managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a timely manner within a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- A solution-oriented thinker who can efficiently troubleshoot campaign issues, identify opportunities for enhancement, and adapt swiftly to new challenges or strategic shifts.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate complex data or technical digital marketing concepts into clear, digestible insights for diverse audiences, including clients and internal teams. Confidence in presenting campaign results and recommendations.
- Meticulous and highly organized, capable of managing multiple concurrent campaigns, deadlines, and reporting schedules without compromising accuracy or quality.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members and contribute positively to our team culture. Receptive to feedback and eager to learn from colleagues.
