Digital Media Coordinator, Media Production Specialist II, Temporary
About the role
The Digital Media Coordinator supports the production, design, and ongoing evolution of the university’s digital presence with modern approaches to visual storytelling including photography and videography. This position supports the university’s strategic marketing and communications efforts through website content administration, user experience improvements, digital storytelling, and multimedia production.
Responsibilities
- Supports the university’s strategic marketing and communications efforts through website content administration, user experience improvements, digital storytelling, and multimedia production.
- Works closely with university leadership, faculty, staff, students, and external partners to maintain a dynamic, accurate, and accessible web presence that reflects institutional priorities.
- Oversees website content, supports digital campaigns, and creates visual assets through photography and videography to enhance online engagement.
- Collaborates with the Associate Director of Marketing, Digital Engagement and Brand Strategy to ensure consistent branding and messaging across digital platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Marketing/Communications and Media Studies or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of experience in marketing and/or communications.
- Higher education experience is highly preferred.
- Experience working within a content management system (CMS) is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG), search engine optimization (SEO), and user experience (UX) best practices is preferred.
- Experience with photography and videography, including shooting, editing, and optimizing multimedia content for digital platforms, is required.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a solid foundation in grammar, spelling, and the composition of various communication vehicles.
- Strong proficiency with computers and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Google Suite, web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics), Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, or similar software), and basic HTML/CSS.
Skills
- Proficiency in web development tools and technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay
This is a full-time, temporary, non-exempt position. Step placement will be determined based on relevant qualifications and professional experience and will be in the range of $5,178 - $5,605 a month (step 1 - step 5).
