Digital Marketing Specialist
About the role
Execute SFG's consumer marketing strategy by developing and managing campaigns that generate qualified Medicare leads, nurture prospects, and support business growth. This hands-on individual contributor role is responsible for digital advertising, email and SMS marketing, social media, content development, seminar promotion, campaign analytics, and marketing automation while ensuring compliance with Medicare marketing requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead Generation Management & Advertising
- Execute annual, quarterly, and monthly marketing campaigns aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain the marketing calendar, coordinating campaigns, events, content, and enrollment initiatives.
- Manage campaign timelines, creative assets, approvals, and launches.
- A/B test and monitor campaign performance and recommend tactical improvements.
- Manage paid advertising across Google, Meta, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other approved platforms.
- Configure audience targeting, budgets, tracking, and campaign optimization.
- Build a robust lead pipeline via testing, monitoring, and expanding on content.
- Enhance lead nurturing, re-engagement, and follow-up through various means.
- Monitor advertising performance, ROI, and cost-per-lead metrics.
- Coordinate with external advertising vendors as needed.
- Content & Social Media
- Create and manage consumer-facing marketing content including blogs, email campaigns, social media, educational materials, videos, and seminar assets.
- Maintain the content calendar and ensure messaging aligns with SFG branding.
- Manage organic and paid social media campaigns while monitoring engagement and online reputation.
- Email Marketing & Automation
- Build and maintain email, SMS, and automated marketing journeys.
- Segment audiences and develop campaigns based on lifecycle stage and marketing objectives.
- Test campaigns for quality, compliance, and deliverability.
- Maintain accurate marketing lists and subscription preferences.
- Events & Seminar Marketing
- Execute marketing campaigns supporting seminars, webinars, community events, and enrollment meetings.
- Manage event promotions, registrations, reminders, and follow-up communications.
- Track attendance, appointments, enrollments, and campaign ROI.
- Marketing Technology, Analytics, & Compliance
- Maintain marketing campaigns, attribution, and reporting within Salesforce.
- Monitor marketing automations and campaign tracking.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports.
- Analyze campaign metrics and recommend continuous improvements.
- Identify and coordinate resolution of marketing technology or data issues.
- Ensure all marketing materials follow CMS and company compliance requirements.
- Submit materials for required approvals prior to publication.
- Maintain accurate records of approvals, disclosures, and campaign documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Three or more years of digital marketing experience.
- Experience executing lead generation and digital advertising campaigns.
- Working knowledge of email marketing, social media, PPC, SEO, and marketing analytics.
- Experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform.
- Strong organizational, project management, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience marketing Medicare, health insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry.
- Knowledge of CMS Medicare marketing guidelines.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Account Engagement, HubSpot, etc.).
- Experience with WordPress or website content management.
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
- Graphic design, video editing, or Google/Meta advertising certifications.
